Decatur Summer Camp Rules & Procedures

Vamos Chicos Summer Camp at First Baptist Church

 

General Details:

  • All campers must be entering Kindergarten or older.

  • The camp fees include a $35 non-refundable registration fee per camp.

  • Free early drop-off starts at 8:45 am.

  • Camp hours are from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. 

  • Camp pickup is promptly at 3:00. Any parent arriving after 3:10 for pickup will be charged $1 per minute.

  • Campers must bring their own a.m. & p.m. snacks, lunch, and water bottle. 

Changes & Refunds & Cancellations:

Many of our camps have wait lists. Please know that last-minute cancellations keep other campers from enjoying our camps, so we have implemented a Cancellation Fee of $100. Thank you for your understanding.

 

*All cancellations made more than 21 days prior to the start of the camp will be refunded minus the Cancellation Fee of $100. Camp refunds will not be issued for cancellations made within 21 days of the start of a camp.

 

*All camp requests concerning camp changes, refunds, cancellations and transfers, must be made in writing.

 

*Changing your camp is possible up until 3 weeks before the camp begins, and if there’s space available. There will be a Camp Change Fee of $35.

 

*Camp tuition is transferable from one student to another, but Vamos Chicos is not responsible for finding a replacement for your child’s spot.

 

* If illness causes your child to miss 3 or more consecutive days in one week of camp, you can submit a doctor's note as proof of illness and therefore be eligible to receive a partial credit on your account for that specific week minus the Cancellation Fee of $100.

 

*We reserve the right to cancel any camp that has not met the minimum required number of 6 students. We will notify you 3 weeks before the start of a camp if camp if it’s cancelled and you can then switch to a new camp week if there’s availability. If you aren’t able to select a different week, a refund will be given minus the Registration Fee. Vamos Chicos reserves the right to cancel any camp for any unforeseen reason. In the event of a camp cancellation, a refund will be given minus the $35 non-refundable Registration Fee.

 

Behavior Guidelines & Discipline Procedures:

Campers are to behave in a mature, responsible way and respect the rights of others. When a camper does not follow the behavior guidelines, we will take appropriate steps if the behavior problem progresses. If inappropriate behavior continues, as a final action step, the camper may be dismissed from camp. Campers should talk to a counselor or any camp staff member if they are uncomfortable with any experiences or need assistance while at camp.
